the best coax for the base is 9913f or lmr 400

after really looking at this radio its a wash because it was stored in a damp place for some time there are lots of the components are corroded.

take it to shop or send via ups or fedx that has all the proper equipment to do it

Sorry about the sarcasm on other post but its true Get your self a good tvi filter like a drake or johnson tune able one should help a lot Also get your self some good coax like lmr 400 double shielded or like it belden 9913 is good also but dont have double shielding Remember dont cheap out on the ...

Sure there is get your self a metal antenna and make sure you have good grounds on all of it

hello fellow michigander my self i would go with the maco V5/8 its tune able for 11 meters and 10 meters as well as other bands but tune it for one and use a antenna tuner for the rest of the bands
