hello fellow michigander my self i would go with the maco V5/8 its tune able for 11 meters and 10 meters as well as other bands but tune it for one and use a antenna tuner for the rest of the bands

ok am not sure what is avalable where your at there but you can use google or something like it to see if there are any shops around you . my self i would look for something that will read RMS and peak power. DOSY makes a fairly good meter . its all on how much you what to spend on one.

It sounds like it is a fault on the EB-2000 echo board if so, just try this one disconnects J2 and J3 and connect them back to back (E.G. mic I/P to mic O/P and PTT I/P to PTT O/P) and give it a try, if it ok then the echo bridge IC is duff. If you have bought the radio and amp. Spend a little more and get your self a meter and see what it is at. That way you will be sure not to over drive the amp. How can anyone tell you how much your radio is doing with out seeing the radio on a meter they can only give you a guess just like you can. ...
