I came across a amp with 3 3-500z tubes in it but there is no transformer in the cabinet.what type of transformer should i look for?

I am looking for any tune up, or pmodification info i can find on the radio shack TRC 447. None of my books cover anything at all on the radio. Any help will be appreciated!!!

i have a galaxy 959 that will not transmit at all should i check the diode under the mic jack or would the problem be deeper?

Any techs got any ideas on where i can check next on this no tx issue? Any help is greatly appreciated

i have a cookie built amp. They are built in hammond la. It puts out good but is raspy on output audio. Could this be the silver micas?

The recieve is good on the radio. The next thing i think to check is that black diode near the mic jack with the yellow looking band on it ...

Ive got a 959 galaxy in the shope that recieves fine on am and sideband. There is however no transmit at all. The transmit light on the front of the radio does not change to red. THe P.A. is also out. Could this be the audio chip?

i have a homemade base amp with 2 150a tubes in it.it works well as it is but the power supply for it is to small so im not getting max output.can anyone tell me what type of power supply would be good for this box?

i have been brought a cobra 25ltd classic that someone shorted stuff out in.when you key it up the red tx light doesnt light up and it does no wattage also the receive is very low.ive replaced the 2078 final,r48 and tr19 and still no joy.im stumped.

i was installing a blue lamp in my 959 and droped the radio in my lap while testing the light.when it fell in my lap i saw a small amount of smoke and now when you turn the radio on it starts around 27.3?? and goes up till it stops on 27.435.does anyone know what i could have shorted out?

i came across a different board than i use and wondering if someone might have the instructions.it says wep on the board and is setup kinda like a lt 2d board.

i have a mirage 44 that you can move a couple of the wires in the front of the radio and the display will go out also the receive will go in and out.ive looked for bad spots on the board but i dont see any but you can press on the board and the receive will come in and out?

I have a connex 3300hp, it is transmitting fine and modulating. It shows recieve on the meter however it does now have any talkback or recieve volume at ll in the exteranal or internal speaker. I have a cobra 29 nw st with wx on the bench. It has a short which is just blowing fuses each time or tripping my dc supply. What diode or other components should i be concerned with looking at?

i peaked the recieve cans in radio and still cant get any decent recieve. Im getting strong signals or closeby stations. Any transmitters to the distance from me are extremely weak. Any body know which compnents could be bad or any other ideas?

I have a president madison with the 8719 PLL. The radio works good on transmit but the am recieve is weak, It picks up strong signals or radios that are close. Any help will be greatly appreciated
