Yes just be sure to run a separate power supply line for the stinger.

What you're likely to find out is your radio has more power that either of the amplifier scenarios you've described can possibly handle.

You should either get a straight 4/2879 amplifier for that radio or get radio that only produces at maximum 30 watts pep to run that amplifier.

there are many issues with installing a 1446 in a cb radio and the 2 most daunting of these are heat dispersal and power supply.

one would basically need to build an amp section in the radio.
