This is another way to do it also. The diode is a 1n4001 - 1n4007, your choice and use a 47uF capacitor , not a 100uF.

Ok, found another diode and put it in. Radio comes and the receive is working but when I key up, Nothing shows on my meters and the meter on the radio goes down to 0 s units also i have a radio near by and it shows that the radio keys up but NO MODULATION. What is going on with this radio? Please He...

It keeps burning up the diode in the D10 spot. See previous post. I keyed the radio and seen smoke and then POP. opened the radio and replaced it with a 1N4002 with no luck. The picture is what I saw when I first opened the radio. Any Ideas?

I have been using a superstar dm452 for about 3 years and never had a problem. I have a Galaxy dx 959 and it wor great with the 452. My echo is set all the way Counter clock wise and the mod is a hair down from full. These do make your voice a little deeper but they work great. Second Mic is a Astat...

This was the easiest project I have made so far and it works great. Just a little and I do mean LITTLE bit of salt at a time till you get 1.1:1 match. Thanks again.

Uniden PC66XL

Hello, I have a PC66xl that I am having a problem with. Seems that when I am using it the radio receive will just FADE away and when I try to key up, just the red light will come on but nothing else and my meters show nothing. Any help would be great Thanks.

Galaxy DX 959 swing kit?

I have a DX 959 and was wondering if it would be a good Idea to put in a swing kit in it and if so what do I need. I have done the channel mod and it works great, the freq counter follows right along. Thanks in advance.
