I have made a big mistake! "President Lincoln"

Radio Make and Model:UNIDEN President Lincoln.
PCB Number:PB-121AC HCT-58NY 94V-0
Cpu Prom UC-1201A

Test gear available:Freq,counter,Volt/amp meter,Funk gen,sinad meter,Fm dev/Mod/Watt meter,Dummyload.

Symptoms:No reading on the display it's total blank,No TX,No bleep when push buttons,Can not change freq.

What is working:Normal radio noise on Cw Lsb Usb Am Fm,RIT is working,Squelch is working

What has been tried:Replaced 1000uf 6,3 V condensor,Replaced 7805,Shift J301 and J307.

Did it suddenly happen ?:No after replaced all the 10V condensor on the main board i connected the Pll board and I mixed up by mistake the J301 and J307. :banghead:
Anything else that may be of help?: The condensator1000uF 6.3 V, became very hot and started to swell like a balloon.The ceramic disk cond,on the top of the UC-1201A became
very hot,No voltage from the 7805 ok after replace :doh:

Could it be the IC UC-1201A that is gone or the IC 316?

It sounds like you have shorted out the MPU, you will have to find another one to replace it with.

In the worst case I would be interested in buying the radio from you for parts.

It was the the CPU/MCU that was blown :x
So to all CB people that have a Uniden hr2510/2600/2830/Lincoln be careful not to mix the connectors you will destroy the radio if you get them wrong I have tried :banghead:
