READ THIS BEFORE POSTING !!

Postby The Defpom » Wednesday 6th Jul 2005, 7:41

READ all of this message before posting in the forum, it is important !

Before asking any question, try using the Search system, as your question may have already been asked (and answered) before.

It has been noted that some people come on to this forum and ask a technical question without reading the Posting RULES below, this is why some do not get an answer to their post, if you cannot help, we cannot help.

You need to have some basic test equipment, (DVM or Analogue Multimeter, RF power meter and dummy load, Soldering Iron and solder, De-soldering pump or Solder-Wick, standalone Frequency counter, and various hand tools) and have the knowledge to know how to use this equipment.

When you are asked a question, try to give only the answer to the question you have been asked. If you do not understand the question then speak-up !

Please do not post the same message in more than one category, as this will just get you ignored, and all the posts will be removed.

Keep the post in the Topic where it was started, if an Admin believes another category is more appropriate, they will move it.

Please use a Post subject at all times with each new post topic and when replying to a post topic, this helps make it easier to use the search system in the future.

Posting Rules:
When posting questions about a radio problem include the following information:
    Radio Make.
    Radio Model.
    PCB number.
    PLL number.
What doesn't work on the radio.
What does work on the radio.
What you have tried so far.
Did it suddenly happen or was it like it when you got it etc.

Following this procedure will reduce the time taken for responses, and get to the bottom of your problem sooner, and increase the chances of someone helping you !
