FeedBack Problems

Post by Rooster9507 »

I have just installed a cobra 29ltd classic, I have it hooked straight to the battery and I am using a 102" stainless steel whip. The radio works great but the problem is I am getting real bad feedback from my car through the CB Speaker :banghead: . I have the noise blocker switch but when I use it I lose some of my range. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? I would appreciate any help at all thank you.

I would start by checking power connection. Make sure your ground has 100% good contact. Remove paint/dirt/rust and go bare metal.

Also when running wire don't go parallel with other wires. Cross at 90 degrees when possible...

Is the feedback your referring to be AC alternator whine? Can you add additional information to the feedback issue. Thanks
