Overall a working piece of device with no signs of "screwdriver tuning" but trouble in TX audio. In FM some audio can be heard if receiving radio is set to full volume. In AM/SSB no audio and some interference in the transmitted signal. Heat sink of IC6 and TR39 is abnormally hot. Where to start troubleshooting?

This may be a bit too late but IC6 the audio chip and TR39 do get hot.
What voltages are you getting on IC4 in TX and RX.

Problem solved, it was quite easy this time. A faulty mic catridge. Thanks anyway!
