Galaxy 73v

Post by ChickenBone »

Radio Make. Galaxy
Radio Model. dx 73v
PCB number. ept360014b
PLL number. mc145106p

I have 2 radios doing the exact same thing. When I put it on a channel and key up, it transmits on that channel. When I let go of the mic, it returns to the "fixed" channel. (6, 19, or 21) When I key it up again, it will go back the channel I selected, then 2 seconds later, back to fixed. I tried all the fixed channels and it will return to whichever channel the switch is on. I hit all the solder joints on the channel selector board thinking maybe a cold joint. These have both been converted. Any other suggestions?

i have on of those here in my shop and that threw me off a little bit. I think it has to do with dual watch option. if you turn it off you should be able to use the radio normally. Let me know how you make out.
