Pride 150 mobile

Post by JOHNNY BE GOOD »

New to amps and need to know if there is a limit on the watts on the input side of a Pride 150 mobile amp my radio is beefed a little and don' t wan't to damage the amp. Also there is a switch that says RECVR ON-OFF should it be ON while listening and turn it OFF every time I transmit? Any help would be appriciated. John

The reciever switch is for a pre-amp. you do either turn it on or off.
Doesn't matter. A good average number for CB amps is 2 watt carriers.
If your radio puts out like 40 watts PEP that is a bit much.
