Magnum 257 - talkback

Post by Smitty »

Not a "CB Radio" by any means, but this is the only place I can find to put this, lol, so here goes.

Anybody know of a way to ad talkback to a Magnum 257, internally?

BTW, hello everyone, some of you allready know me ;)

I sure figured someone has done this before. I guess if I were to accomplish it, I'd be the first

Would I tell my secret?

Its not really a secret. It can be done. Good luck.

lol....come on man, I'm sure it can be done, but I need to know how, lol.

I been half tempted to buy one of those UTB-1 talkback kits and put in it, but I don't want that thing floating around in there.

Marv......do you know how? I'm up for suggestions

Looking at the schematic, pin 2 of the mike plug grounds the negative side of the speaker, have you tried a resistor (100 ohms or less) from speaker ground (at the external speaker jack) to ground?

Thanks Bozo, I've tried both of those ways.....no success to either one.
