uk cobra 29 LTD ST ouptput mod fm

hi can any one help me

i have a cobra uk 29 ltd st using pll 72322

i have replaced the final with a 1969 and returned L301 L302 L303 AND RV 201 but i can only get 6 watts out of it can any one help what am i doing wrong ??

do i have to disable the sound tracker as it dont work any way

i am new to doing cb mods

Hi Dave,
Try adjusting the Rf power at VR203, front right hand corner of the radio.

sorry made a error ment to say vr 203

i have put it flat out still no luck

any other ideas

the radio is using a stock pre driver 2314

could this be changed and it so what could i put in its place

i was also told that i could jumper the resistor from the bac of the final to the pre driver

It could be that the 1969 you fitted is a fake or a poor copy.
I would say that the driver is working fine as you are getting 6w from the radio.
As for fitting a resistor from the final to the driver, i can't say.
