Kenwood TS-430 TX on 27mhz

Anyone know how to open the TX up on the Kenwood TS-430 so It will TX on 27mhz..Cheers

A ham transceiver for the ham bands.
CB transceiver for the CB band.
It is highly illegal, to convert a ham transceiver for CB use.

I'm sure others will jump in here with more ideas on this subject.

Yeh i know but I want to be able to get Marine band TX in Australia it starts at 27.680 and goes up.

On the the bottom board of the transceicer find the RF-UNIT (X44-1510-11).


Near the two plugs numbered 9 and 10 , you will see two diodes called D39 and D40.


Simply cut the two diodes D39 and D40 on the RF-UNIT.
