Galaxy 44v Triple Mosfet Conversion

Post by 31 »

I followed Speedracer6g's post http://www.radiomods.co.nz/forum/viewto ... f=2&t=2056 and copied the 33HP's driver to final section with his being an 88 I had to add and change different things. This is what I did so far

Change:
TR56,TR44 and TR43 to IRF520
C175 330 to 390pf
C171 to 1500pf
L35 to R216 to 1k
L36 to Jumper
L47 to R218 to 10k

Add:
C211 150pf
C209 1500pf
D88, D89 and D112 5V6(5.6 volt 1 watt zener)1N4734
R215 and R270 100k
R217,R272 and R219 47k
R271 1k
VR10 100k pot
VR11 100k pot (expose circuit trace to ground out open leg)
VR20 100k pot
J98 Jumper
J77 Jumper

Remove:
C168

I did not change L33/L34 to make the new L33 which is one coil for the two spots cause I couldn't find one.I also did not know what to do about D90 , in the picture its a resistor. I cannot adjust the bias at all, its stuck at 5.05 volts with any variation of the VR's. TR51 gets real warm after some audio. I get a 6 watt dead key with a 20 watt pep swing. The front RF Power knob has little to no affect. It also seems as if I can only raise the modulation a little bit, below half way on the mic gain has no effect, it only reacts above halfway. The VR14 is opened all the way.
