How to increase mike gain range on RCI-2950 & 148 GTL?
Hey guys, wanted to know if anyone knows a way to increase the 'microphone gain' knob range on the Ranger RCI-2950 and/or the Cobra 148 GTL. The 148 ain't that bad, but the 2950 is just so low. Any help or suggestions is appreciated. I'm currently experimenting with the 2950 trying to get it to sound a little louder.

NPC mod does wonders with the audio. You could also volt the finals (Assymetrical Mod). I have done these to my 2950 and no splatter or harmonics as viewed on an Spectrum Analyzer. My VCO has issues where I'll lose lock but once I open it up adjust it up then back to where it should be its fine. Bad can I think. Hope that helps.
