Would this work on a PTSY016AOX osc board?

read this about helping the PTBM059 FM modulation....

http://home.btconnect.com/blaggard/059.htm

this is the bit I'm interested in..
"all we need do is to isolate the VCO from the smoothing circuit (we don't want to smooth our audio input!) by cutting the track that connects TP2 to the VCO block. This track is then bridged by a 4k7 resistor. Next remove the existing FM audio by removing resistor R25 (1k) and connect a 680K resistor from the free end of C31 (which was connected to R25) to the VCO block side of the 4k7 resistor."
This is for the PTOS006AOX, but will it work on the PTSY016?
I'm NOT Satan: It's 2 six's and a 9!
