cobra uk 29 ltd st tuning and alignment help

hi all,
im looking for cobra uk 29 ltd st tuning and alignment help.
cant find anything on the net.

have found vr203 is power out but fully open its only kicking out 3 watts
the radio does have a c1969 fitted.

thanks in advance for any input

You other post you say you have 10 watts.

This is probably why you have not add an answer.
I think you need to have you power meter check as 10 watts is a lot to get from a UK FM rig even with a 1969.

yes if you read the other post you will see the power went up after removing somekind of swing mod and yes it went upto 10 watts checked on 2 differant watt meters.

and btw it was over 10 watts on some channels

are the coils at the back of the radio, spread?? has there been wax scraped off of some adjustment points??

Never spread any coils in any radio, it may look like you are increase power but all you are doing increases harmonic.

This is bad practice and should be stopped.

I know there are web sites, which tell you to spread coils but person how, wrote such an article had no technical knowledge of RF.

hi,
there is not any wax removed ,there is one coil that is spread open but i never did this,i have now turned the power down with vr203 to 4watts.
