I'm going to the south of France in a month or so 8) ..and I'll be taking along my RCI2950.
now i have located some potential high places where we will be and intend to do some DX..
there is no place to bring along a good antenna in the car,....so i think i will work with a wire antenna..a dipole maybe. .....suppose I make a dipole..with two wires...behind the dipole a reflector.(also wire)..in the front a director wire( i know the messures to use for a beam-antenna).....it's just an idea...will this work properly? does anyone have experiences with this? any other ideas are very wellcome..and will be most appreciated!! ..as long it is easy to cary along in the car...besides all the camping equipement..
Oh yes, almost forgot...what wire ist the best to use??
thanks in advance folks for the answers..looking forward to them..

Try this, then click on 'Projects to build':

The Skypper is a folded wire yagi and works very well.

Best wire is 'flexweave' multistrand but it's expensive.

Good Luck 8)
