Arial placement help

Post by 4x4 BEAST »

Hi guys,
I have just purchased a uhf cb radio and need to know of any issues when choosing a position for the arial, I also have a normal radio arial on the front L/H gard and an AM CB arial on the front R/H gard. Are there any issues with having one arial close to another??

Cheers,
Brian.

you wouldn't want them too close...there will be de-tuning if real close, and altered radiation pattern.
why not stick the UHF one up high on the roof etc.
Be better for signal in and out.
If you are concerned about he number of antenna, you could get a dual band 27/477 and a diplexor..
