HIGH SWR WITH AMP ON
HI IAM HAVING TROUBLE TO BRING DOWN MY SWR ON CHANNEL 40 WITHOUT ADDING POWER I HAVE THE SWR SET AT 1:3 ON 1 AND 40 THE MEET I TURN POWER ON TO AMP CHANNEL 40 GOES OVER 2:1 THE ANTENNA IS A WILSON 5000 MAG MOUNT ON A ISUZU RODEO CAN ANY HELP ME OUT THANKS

Hi Lance: Only seen this once before, but i normally don't bother with aerials.
If the magmount has a rubber boot fitted, take it off. also check that where the whip screws in you have nice shiny threads for contact. You may also have to increase your earthing to the antennae.

Did you recalibrate the meter after increasing the power?
You're 5 & 9 - what's your QRZ again???
