Uniden 980ssb
I bought a non working Uniden 980ssb radio and I think the reverse polarity diode is blown because it blows the fuse every time it is powered up. Probably a long shot and no schematic is available for these that I know of. Thanks....

I would just try replacing the diode with a new one and seeing if it works.
I don't have any info such as diagrams for them yet.

If it is happening again and again, i would suggest you check the board completely. The nuetral connection might be having a connective issue in the board. I dont know to use the exact technical temrs. But i think you get the idea. I tried to recreate the problem, but i could not get it in my part. So i think this might be the issue. Just try checking it and revert so that i can look for other options for you.
