MACO 200 base amp

My dad has an old MACO 200 base amp. If I remember correctly this is a ham amp modded to the CB band. Not sure, but anyway. Anyone know what type of power transformer it uses? It burned out once and he had someone replace it. It has since burned out again. Anyone with experience with tube amps have any idea? And also, what would make one burn out?
