There is no point as you AM carrier is 10 KHz wide and if you was to go up or down let say 5 KHz you would be ? 5 KHz in each adjacent channel, this is not very clever and not make you any friends.

Re: texas ranger tr-396fc Alpha channels.

Post by Rick »

To get the Alpha channels you need to do the following, Locate the PLL (RCI 8719) and cut the track which go to Pin 16 (PLL) solder across the cut a 4K7 resistor, solder a wire to Pin 16 (PLL) solder the other end of the wire to the centre pole of a SPDT switch (You can use a switch like a CB/PA), next solder a wire to Pin 18 (PLL) and solder the other end of the wire to the top pole of the switch, and finally solder a wire from Pin 9 to the bottom pole of the switch. This is very easy to do and takes about 10 minutes to complete. If you can not follow this give me you email address so I can send you a diagram.

Am I your friend now?
