uniden PC66 Talkback

I am trying to get a mod for putting talkback in my PC66. Please sombody help me. I cant see paying $20 at my local shop to do 5min simple mod.

hi there,all youll need on this mod is a 100 ohm resistor.remove the top cover and look to the back of the radio where your pa and external speaker jacks are.cut the resistor to the right lenght tint each end with solder now solder one end of the resistor to the center connector of the pa jack and the other end of the resistor to the center connector of the external speaker jack.also i would insulate the resistor with a piece of heat shrink.also if you desire you can make your talk back switchable,just get two pieces of wire about 8 inches long.solder one wire to the resistor and the other wire to center connector of external spkr. jack then solder the other two ends of the wire to one of your switches on the front panel.id suggest the anl/nb switch.desolder the exsisting wires off the switch solder these two wires together.insulate them with heat shrink.then solder your two wires from the talkback resistor to the anl/nb switch.good luck with your radio....ramblingman
