dx-88-meltes protection diode

hey there, you are installing the audio chip correctly ahy.it has to be installed with the numbers facing the heat sink.also check your solder connecions making sure two patterns are not touching each other.

dx-88-melts the protection diodes

Post by ramblingman »

yep, thats the problem, youve installed it backwards.the numbers on the audio chip should be facing the heat sink.in other words you shouldnt be able to see the numbers once its installed, the side that has the little round dot in the middle, should be facing the inside of the radio.better put a new one in now through.cause that ones probably toast.........ramblingman
