HELP!

Post by risen75 »

Ok.. I have a 2 pill amp that has two 2290 transistors in it.. I need to know what the minimum amount of power is to run something like that.. I know that it can't be too much... but I don't want to completely starve it for juice. Now the Powersupply that is running my radio is putting out 13.8V at 10 amps and i'm wondering if that would be enough to run a box like that (assuming i took the radio off of it and ran that on a seperate one that is) and not burn it up from starving it too much...
Fear me as the child does the night, for it is the unknown, and that is what I am.

Looking at the datasheet for the Toshiba 2SC2290 the max input is 4w PEP which gives approx. 60w out. Double that for two.

I'd suggest you'd need at least a 30amp supply to keep it happy & not run your power supply into the ground.
