Uniden 2830

Post by Animal »

Can anyone help with a Uniden 2830

It's off frequency by 0.0003KHz on SSB according to receiving stations and I need the RIT (Clarifier) button at the 3 o' clock position to hear people clearly on SSB.

I've probably posted in the wrong section so have hot ashes at the ready for the walk of shame with a spring-board at the end into a patch of nettles:roll:

Many thanks in anticipation.

ATB

You do not say if it is USB or LSB, so hear is the alignment procedure for CW, USB, and LSB.

Before you do the alignment switch the radio on and let it warm up for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Preparation alignment:
Set RIT to Middle position
Set the radio to 28.000 MHz
Setup is in RX mode

Mode switch to CW, connect Frequency Counter to TP1 on the Main board, and adjust L117 for 10.695 MHz ? 20 Hz

Mode switch to LSB, connect Frequency Counter to TP1 on the Main board, and adjust L118 for 10.6925 MHz ? 20 Hz

Mode switch to USB, connect Frequency Counter to TP1 on the Main board, and adjust L116 for 10.6975 MHz ? 20 Hz

Mode switch to USB, connect Frequency Counter to TP5 on the Main board, and adjust VR111 for 38.6975 MHz ? 20 Hz

Rick.
