Radioshack TRC-433 Base station

I'm picking up a Radioshack TRC-433 Base unit and I'm looking for mods for it. I'd like to know what all i can do with it as for tweaking the power to tune it propperly for my setup. Also if anyone can tell me if they go with the standard radioshack Din style mic plug and wiring it would be much appreciated.

remove Q15

tune L4, L3 for maximum power
