hello all.im tinkering around on another one.i have a realistic trc-422a,it work tx and rx fine on channel 40,also when the ch 9 and ch 19 switch is on it will tx and rx good on those two channels.but no other channels.the ch display does not light up either.any ideas on this one,,thanks.

Check the supply to the channel selector, it should be 8 volts.

hello all,i found the problem with this radio.but its gonna be a bugger to fix.found the thin ribbon wire connections broke in a couple different places.gonna have to trace down where they go and jumper them out...anyways thanks for the input,rick my friend.and im sure ill be needing some assitance on another project radio soon.once again thanks,and have a great weekend..jimmy a.k.a. ramblingman 259 in central mississippi.

hello guys,i just wanted to pop back in and let everyone know,i got this radio back going.i found the problem was the thin ribbon cable that connects the display board to the pc board was broken in several places.it took alittle time to trace it out,and jump out the connections.but i got this radio going again last night.thanks rick for the help.your friend jimmy (ramblinman)
