No power Grant XL
I have a New Old Stock Uniden Grant XL. Been in truck for three weeks working fine. Radio was working when I stopped for a break but blew the fuse when turned back on. Can't get it to hold a fuse to test anything. Any Help???

So, you mean that it DOESN'T blow the fuse UNTIL you turn on the power switch? Important detail there.
Any chance that another truck with a really large linear in it parked alongside your truck while you were indoors? If he keyed with your antenna too close to his, that would do it.
Somebody who knows where the two bias-test jumpers are located inside the radio can unplug them and see if the fuse will hold that way.
If the radio will receive normally with the bias-test wires unplugged, it's a good sign.
If the fuse now holds, and the channel digits light up, but you have NO receive, this is a bad sign. Suggests that both the transmitter's power stages AND the receiver are damaged if it stays quiet but lights up.
Just don't put a fuse bigger than 3 Amps in it. This will limit the 'collateral' damage to other parts in the radio.
As a rule, the only parts that can make the fuse pop right away are all the power-stage components. The big ones that bolt to the chassis side and rear rails.
Should look to see if I have a pic on file showing where the two wires plug into the bias-test pins on the main pc board.

This is common occur, when you start the engine with the radio switched on, I have come across this fault time and time again with this radio.
You will most likely find D44 short and D78 open and will require a new voltage regulator IC501 (MB3756) and TR503 transistor mounted on the small board (PB-208) and you will probable find that the Audio IC as dead as well.
