hay guys noob here

so I have a radio shack 503 I am trying to mod it has the LC7185 PLL in it I was hopeing I could "hack" the pll and have some funn but it seams this pll has never been put in a 503 befor my model in 99 so I can't find any info on my perticuler radio I did find one mod for a 503 but it intails altering components that mine dose not have.

I did find the pinouts for the pll

I also relize that Realistic makes the radio not radio shack and this information is not usfull at all

should I give up on moding this radio or atleast the pll and work on the other end of the radio or an older radio?

put that rig on ebay and start a new project

thanks great advice I did some more work on the net and found the pll can not be changed but I did however retune a few of the pots and picked up a few hamers a couple states away.. fun fun
well now off to the cobra for a little tuning fun

good choice...those radios aren't exactly the best to mod...good luck on future projects
