Someone who repairs meter movements

Post by Studio1 »

Does anyone repair meter movements or know someone/somewhere that does?
Preferably in New Zealand where I am, but if the cost is reasonable I will consider sending it abroad.

I can get a brand new replacement meter for $100 US so any repair would need to be significantly LESS than that.

Cheers.

What type of meter are you trying to repair? Might be cheaper to buy a parts unit?

It's a Simpson 30uA movement from a Bird 43 wattmeter.

No need to worry about it now - I managed to get a good meter off a local buy and sell site, and the faulty meter has been sold to someone for half of what I paid for the new one - a win all round!
