Varactor diodes

Is there a general purpose varactor that will work in most radios for the vco? If so, what is part number.
I need to order varactors for cobra 29 ltds as well as most export radios and prefer to get axial lead diodes instead of surface mount for replacements.

This one will do the job, I have been using the SVC251 for over 9 years in all sorts of radios from Ham and CB.
