Radio Shack power meter problem

Post by Shadow »

Hi guys, I've got a Radio Shack power meter model 21-524 that will not read PEP watts. Everything else works great on it so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a part that goes bad on these things that keeps them from reading PEP watts. I opened it up and gave it the visual but I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

any ideas?

Yes, unless they had a switch on it to select between 'AVG' and 'Peak' just to confuse people, but somehow I doubt that Tandy ever had that much of a sense of humor. lol

But yes, they made 2 peak reading watt meters as far as i know. The 21-524 and the 21-534. I own both models in working order.
