i know this is oldjust curious if ya got it up and running

yes i got same mic.and i agree gotta turn down mic gain on radio.mines set
at 50%much higher and mine squeals.i got the audio inside mike all the way up
you probaly turn your vr for modulation all the way up also.just use your mic gain

dunno the exact dat they came out but gonna guess early to mid 1990s
as far as mods id just tune the vrs .id do nothing more
no fake swing mods and definately no limiter clipping

these meters are alot like the bird meters .just curious
if anyone has tried this meter

with that kinda output the only commerical amp is
texas star 1600 sweetsixteen
probaly best bet would be a comp. type
magnaforce would be my choice

that keeps blowing fuses as soon as ya hook it up to a p/s
or car battery.is this the same problem?

i agree.not to mention the audio gets fuzzy.id say 3 watts dk
then just let it swing.check box every now and then make
sure its not hot.i would not exceed 3 wattsdk with that amp

ive heard that too.but i know i had a 2970 completely stock
and it drew between 20-25 amps on ssb with 100 watts

magnaforce seems like a good choice aswell with ssb delay

yup with just a cb type radio a kl amp are very nice and clean
sounding.higher power export type radios seem to overdrive them
from what ive found

gotta old tug-8 4 wire d-104.[not a 6 wire]wanna hook it up a
4 pin uniden/cobra.i did little expermienting and seems to tx/rx
however to get fair audio gotta run d104 wide open and mic gain
wide open .did i hook it up right.

ive take 102 inch whips and trimmed for proper lenth
