I have noticed two XTALS on the board for the PLL.But I'm sure if changin them would be the right move.Im not familer w/ the PLL chip in use,and it is soldered in(no XTAL socket). Any help w/ this would be greatly app. Desir.Freq. 26.900 to 27.550 mHz

Yes, but the DX959 VFO and tuning coils are not as wide banded as the 10-meter models so you will have some power and receiver loss when setting them up for 10-meter operation.

I wonder how much power in SSB band should I have min,med,max.My radio does have:
Min:20 PeP Watt
Med:35 PeP watt
Max:50 Pep watt

If I goes over 50watt in max power the modulation sounded distored.I not have a scope to check the radio.

On the solder side of VR11 you'll see an open leg not normall soldered.

Scratch some of the green coating off the main PCB and solder that open pin to ground.

That should let you control the gate voltage.

The easiest way to troubleshoot the PLL/VCO/Mixer circuit is to break the loop and inject your own voltage.

Unsolder IC5 pin 7.
Inject 3.0 volts at TP2.
Connect freq. counter to TP3.
Adjust L17 for 16.270mhz on the freq. counter.
If that's bad look at TR25 and TR26.

Well this is an interesting one. I have a galaxy dx 33hp and this other galaxy 88hml. both with the 3600 series boards. i went through the dx 88hml and updated everyting in it to match the 33hp's mosfet setup. in the end the am regulator gets pretty warm and it only puts out 18 watts. verses 17 ...

My second guess would be try replacing the RCI8719 PLL. Take a look to make sure somebody didn't try using the MB8719 and if so replace it with the RCI-8719.
