Got it working good rx and tx and the pa is now working but i stil have a lot of a scratching sound coming from the vol. weather the vol. is up or down.

I have a 2995 that did the same thing. I had to replace the two voltage regulating transistors on the back side of the radio they may have a cover over them the transistors are 2n3771. replace with nte 181

Hi all me agen I have a Rci 2950 with a bad squeal the squeal is at a steady volume even if the volume is tured up or down other than that the radio works fine full TX and good Rec. I am thing it is a voltage problem NEED HELP.

Hi all yes I am a newbe so I hope you will put up with me untill I get the hang of this. I have the same problem as Redeye a 148 gtl that works geat on SSB but Rec. is low on AM and no TX on AM but if I set a radio right next to it will move the meter on the other radio so there is some TX.
