Channel/RF readout display for Uniden Pro 640e

Post by Exit_Thirteen »

I believe someone may have previously posted that was looking for one of these, but can't be sure...

I have a Uniden Pro 640e AM/SSB mobile radio that works great, but the some of the segments on the channel readout are burned out, and the channel/meter readout is all one sealed unit. Uniden quit making these some time ago, so if anyone has a junk Pro 640e or a good display, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Are you able to post a picture of what the display itself looks like? Oddly enough I still have a few displays around from the old repair shop days. It's possible I might have the one you need.

Sure thing, GRTS... I'll get a pic up... it's a slightly fuzzy, though.

The display from a Uniden Pro 540e (the AM only version of the 640e) has the same display in it also. So a 640e or 540e display will work. Here's a couple pics.

I think you might be in luck. Give me a few days to dig through some boxes at home and if you don't hear from me by Tues/Weds, then give this thread a bump.

Exit_Thirteen:

I have the display shown in the pictures below.
It is brand new and still has the clear plastic from the factory on the front face for protection.
Send me a PM and let me know what you feel it's worth.
I'll pay the shipping to you.

That's super!

Unfortunately, I'm not able to PM anyone, as only admins, moderators, and technical helpers are the only people that can PM, per Scott (The Defpom). If you'd drop me a quick email at Bander_moth@hotmail.com, I can discuss this with you in that manner. Thank you!
