uniden madison

hi , i have a uniden madison (mb8719 pll) receive good on am ssb but only transmit ok on am sounds very bad on ssb.try adjusting mic gain and vr11 no luck ? any idea?

Most likely you need a complete alignment of the PLL and transmitter circuits.

last night i did a alignment on the tx am and ssb and got 3-4 watt on am and could not get more than 5 watt peak on ssb

what else can i do? just got another madison last week for parts if needed.
