I have got a superstar 3900 that is only transmitting 4 watts FM can anyone please tell me how to turn up the power

Can't remember the number but it's the variable resistor (VR) on the right of the 5 VR's in line at the back of the radio, think it says AM POW next to it. Warning, don't turn it up full or you'll burn the final power transistor out and they aint cheap any more. :D :(

Thanks for that I will have a look at it tonight or tomorrow & ill let you know what happens, would it be ok to turn it up to 10 watt am fm ?

You can turn it to 10w if you want BUT if you are using a burner with it then i would adjust it to about 4w or you'll kill the amp on FM, with long overs that is. :cry:
Another thing to think about is the output transistors if they go bang, can you get replace for them.
