Hi everyone.
Just taken delievery of an earlier 158EDX (with red led display).
serial number S51200142
I have seen on previous posts mention of mods to the audio etc, can anyone give me a list of improvements i can make to the radio?
In particular, i was wondering if i could get the use of the PA bit back - i plan to fix the radio into my van and wanted to utilise the pa speaker i have.
Also, i was hoping to re-peak the rx section (i am a competent radio enthusiast who used to work for the BBC) so any advice on this would be appreciated.
Not overly bothered about peaking the tx as i think the output it has is more than enough, but would it shorten the life of the output transistors if i did so anyway?
