Fine Tune Galaxy Saturn:

Post by rrtddaa64 »

Hello! I need some help with my Galaxy Saturn please; I was listening to a conversation on upper sideband, and I tried to fine tune them in, but I wasn't able to do so. What is the problem? This was my first time trying sideband on this radio. Could it be something that the previous owner did? Help! Thanks!!

I'm sure they where on USB. I did concentrate on one at a time, and I could not clarify either one. Thanks!

Sounds like they or you may be off frequency a little bit, did you try the coarse control first then the fine, may be a dumb question but you never know.
The fine control might move 1 or 2 khz in the full rotation, where the coarse should move close to 10k, that or if they are real close you may have to turn your rf gain down a little bit.

It sounds like the radio is out of alignment. it would be best to have the alignment checked.
Rick.
