I have a President Dwight D with the AWI (antenna warning indicator) light. The problem is my SWR meter shows 1.7 on channel 1 and 2.4 on channel 40 on a vertical 4 element beam antenna. The AWI light is coming on now and never had the light come on before also have tried 3 SWR meters and they all are close to being the same. I've also never had this radio hooked up to this antenna before. So I guess my questions would be:
With those standing waves would that trigger the light?
Has the Dwight D had any problems with the light malfunctioning that anyone knows of?

HELLO,,,Usually the swr a.w.i. light comes on when the
s.w.r. is 2.0 or greater..The radio has a internal pot
that can be adjusted.
