peaking and tuning a cobra 29

im new to this... i really want to learn to work on cbs... i have an old..ish... cobra 29 ltd classic and ive have it peaked and tuned, but i want to learn how to do it because im bout to get a cobra 29 nw classic and was gonna use it to start my learning... i was just wondering if anyone could give me an overview on peaking and tuning it... or give me a link to a how-to page or someting... thanks in advance and your help will be greatly appreciated... thanks
