high static level

PLL Number: LC7120
Test gear available:volt meter
Symptoms:hi rx level on s metre
What is working:everthing
What has been tried:nothing
Did it suddenly happen ?: since i bought the rig
Anything else that may be of help?: hi can u plz help my rig has always got a high signal on s metre at least s 5 of static all the time is there any way of reducing this as my ss3900 has hardly any many thanks
