I have a grant lt that I did the pll conversion on. Radio works perfectly except for the channel display. I touched a trace with the solder pen in the area between the pll and the channel selector ribbon and the display went very dim and then went out. I replaced the led but that is not the problem.

As you have not given us the PCB number. I can only guess what to try TR28 or TR401, check to see if the transistors are OS.

PB-208ad is the only # I can see..

Try replacing TR28 to see if cure the fault.

It is marked Q28 which I am sure is the same. I will find another one and try this. Thank you for your time..
